The service made 2.5k km later due to several reasons:
1. The 24000 service made 1.5k km later by a Honda dealer.
2. The 30000 service is "check and replace if needed" and not a "replace for sure".
3. Some parts of this service was made by me before just because I didn't knew how it was served by a previous owner.

Check and Adjust idle speed
The idle speed shall be checked after 10 - 15 minutes of riding.
Check the idle speed.
Snap the throttle open and shut a few times
Recheck the idle speed.
The result after adjusting
Check brake pads
Every brake pad has wear indicator (small dot on a pad)
If you see it , the pad is OK, if you don't - replace it.
Lubricate throttle and clutch cables
The clutch lubrication was described in http://cbf600s.blogspot.com/2010/09/28855-lube-clutch-cable.html
The throttle
There is 2 ways to detach the throttle cable:
- with tank removal
- without
I used the second one, and the next time I'll use the first one.
Remove the end bar of the throttle
Push in some Allen key
Spray a little bit
Remove the grip by rotating the Allen key. After
the grip made 360C you will be able to detach it easily.
2 throttle cables
Release internal screw to get an ability to unscrew to release the cables
Clean air filter housing drain valve
Open the passenger sit.
Release 2 bolts on a pilot sit
Carefully pull it to the tank opposite side.
Remove the side panel carefully by unplugging 2 internal pegs (pin on illustration)
The pegs are week, so don't push on them
Now we can see the air filter housing
Undo the air filter housing cover screws
And withdraw the filter element. Inspect the element. If it damage or heavily soiled - replace.
Inspect the inside of the housing and clean it.
housing cover And then comes surprise: The housing is broken !!!!!!!! I can't belive it ....
TODO: 1. Housing solution 2. Accomplish air filter cleaning (sub-air cleaners) 3. How to lubricate brake lever 4. Lubricate choke |
